Engine swap Kent

Glen Woolway (Left) with best friend Kevin Simmons (Right) swapping out an engine in a Jaguar.

Glen has over 47 years of experience in the motoring trade having started his first part time job at the age of 13 working on the petrol pumps. When leaving school, he served as an apprentice in Wateringbury; working on BMW’s and Citroens for several years before starting his own business. Glen went on to become a well-respected 5 star driving instructor before re-joining his fellow boss to become the Aftersales Director at a Mazda dealership for 25 years.

His first job when working in the mechanical workshop was to rebuild a Triumph Dolomite engine. Since then he has worked on many vehicles including but not limited to Hillman’s, Morris’s, Ford’s, Citroen’s, MG’s, Peugeot’s, Humber’s, Skoda’s, Alfa Romeo’s and BMW’s.

A rare baby blue Ford Escort 100E Estate was given to Glen by his father Brian Woolway at the age of 13 and has been with him ever since. Glen is now the joint organiser for the Kent Ford Sidevalve Owner’s Club and is a specialist in Ford Sidevalve vehicles.

SERVICES

Bringing back life to classic cars
servicing
Servicing

Regular servicing is of upmost importance to classic cars, with low yearly mileage this is even more important as oil breaks down quicker under cold and short runs.

Fault Finding

From mechanical to electrical faults, finding what is wrong with your classic can be a daunting task; which can result in high costs when diagnosed incorrectly and cause further damage. Our experience usually results in a more accurate diagnosis.

welding
Welding

Spot and mig welding to repair or replace seals, panels and general body & chassis corrosion. Perfect for getting through an MOT or for a full restoration.

Bodywork & Paint Prep

The foundation to a perfect paint job resides in the preperation of the bodywork. Without a good base the final finish will never look as good as it should.

Full/Partial Engine Rebuilds

An assessment will verify whether a full or partial rebuild is required. The advantage of a full rebuild will increase reliability and longevity of the engine, resulting in an as good as new engine that will last for years to come.

Mechanical Repairs

We have all encountered those annoying knocking sounds when going over bumps and crunches when changing gears. Our mechanical repairs will make sure your car is running smoothly again.
